My last day in grade two.

An entire year has passed. As if only yesterday, I had graduated from grade one to the second. Another year of being with a lovely and caring teacher. We call her Sabina mam. Teachers are friendly was a common thing these days, but class teachers being next to mom's for us can be experienced at my school.

We had our PT exam that day. We had one legged race. We were in groups of two. We were made to run a distance of one meter at the sports ground. My partner won the race between the two of us. I however won the cleanliness aspect of the exam. At least, one win got credited to my account. we had the entire morning to ourselves. We partied for parting as we do not know which friend would we be with us in our next grade and which section would be allotted to us!!

We began with the most important element of the party - the snacks!! We all had brought the junk snacks so that we could enjoy. We had tomato cheese pasta, farsi puri, bhel, chevda, pop corn, wafers, chips, chutney sandwich, cheese sandwich, bread and butter etc. The drinks included minute maid pulpy orange, maaza, sprite, mineral water etc. Some children brought for the entire class while some of them brought only for few friends and distributed only to select few. Next, the teacher put on the music. We danced on tunes of balle balle, desi girl, lets go party tonight, disco, mauja hi mauja, rock n roll, mitwa etc. We had a blast.

The teacher gave an emotional speech. "Children, this is the last day for all of us to be in this class. You all have done very well this year. Please continue to do the same in coming years also. All of you need to however improve your hand writing and work on the speed as you would be required to write fast and catch up with the teacher from now onwards. You also need to make your notes from the lectures. You need to become independent now!!"

The class listened to her carefully. She is the only one we all listen to carefully without making noise. At home mom's do tell us things, but it is the teachers words that gets cemented within us at one go!! We thanked our teacher for being with us and for taking care of us and for bearing with us when we were at our worst. Mood swings affects us as well, doesn't it! Thank you Sabina mam.

Hasina mam, I will miss you too. Although last year, I was with you but could not express my gratitude to you as much. This year since you encouraged us to write some synopsis, or short stories or poems. I thought to start my blog so that I could really practise forming my own thoughts and continue with the dream which you have envisaged for us. And my mom has promised to help me till I can manage on my own. Thank you, once again for the inspiration.

Thank you to all my teachers and friends. Best wishes to all.
