Money, Money, Money...

Cling, Clang, Cling
goes the coin
round and stout
in my pouch.

Whoo, Whoo
the wind came
and took my notes.
Rare and square
there they go.

Dhak, Dhak, Dhak
my heart beats.
The happiness money
gives is hard to beat.

Green, Green, Green
is the colour of money.
If I have money.
You go green honey.

Use, Use, Use
Use it wisely.
It stays with you nicely.

I wish...

I wish everyday was a wish
I wish, I always enjoyed
I wish everyday I saw a movie.

I wish I had a phone
I wish you were not tired
I wish I was free.

I wish the entire world
Was a wonderful place
With loads of harmony!!

THE TEN WORDS

The pencil is blunt.
The stem is thorny.
The ice is cold.
The sari is silky.
The shirt is wet.

The cotton is soft.
The shoe is leathery.
The sticker is sticky.
The paper is crumbly.
The steel is smooth.

Touch, touch, touch.
It is touch!!!

The bus children party

Once upon a time in Bangalore city, a gang of grade three children were going home in the air-conditioned school bus. They decided to have a party at Pizza Hut. They informed their respective mothers and sought their permission. They decided that they will have lots of fun there. They can play, sing, dance, play games, eat tasty things and exchange gifts.

Rish, Anay, Alin, Max, Joe, Dellin, Timmy, Elie, Zuppy, Xdece, Deeray, Deane, Hilmer, Maesty, Naggy etc. met at the school the next day and decided the time. All were excited as they had the party at 4 o’clock the next day. While going back home all of them decided the dress code. It was the fancy dress. Each one could wear anything that they wanted to.

All the children reached the venue in time. Rish became a magician; others were dressed up as joker, cartoon characters like Mr. Bean, Sponge Bob, Ninja, Power Puff Girls, Cinderella, Ben Ten, Aliens, Flowers, Underwater sea creatures etc. They danced on the music till late. They played for long till they felt hungry. They jumped on food - pizza, pasta, potato wedges etc. They cooled their heels with ice cream.

It was now time to go home. They wanted to play more. They promised to meet up again somewhere again. The venue would be discussed again later on in the bus. The social life at the bus was amazing. They looked forward to this union again and again!!

Farmer

Once upon a time a boy was passing from a beautiful farm. He was very thirsty. He wanted to drink some water, but could not find anyone there. When he saw that nobody was living there, he went to the well and drank some water. The water was salty. Later on, he realized that he was carrying a bottle of pulpy orange in his bag!!

He thought why do not I start living here and take care of nature, the plants and the farm animals. He started to live there. He watered the plants and flowers. He became a farmer. He was feeling happy to be a farmer. He made a nice farmhouse there and started to live in it.

His family was waiting for some news from him. He did not inform them as his mobile was not working there. He went to another farmhouse to find someone. He could not find anyone there too. In the next farm , he found a family.

He asked them, do you have a telephone with you?” They said “yes, we do have one. What do you want it for?" The farmer said that he wants to call his family and to inform his whereabouts!! They immediately gave him the phone to call his family. He thanked the neighbour to help him in reaching his family. They became friends.

His family was extremely happy to hear from him. They packed their bags and reached his place. They lived happily ever after.

My last day in grade two.

An entire year has passed. As if only yesterday, I had graduated from grade one to the second. Another year of being with a lovely and caring teacher. We call her Sabina mam. Teachers are friendly was a common thing these days, but class teachers being next to mom's for us can be experienced at my school.

We had our PT exam that day. We had one legged race. We were in groups of two. We were made to run a distance of one meter at the sports ground. My partner won the race between the two of us. I however won the cleanliness aspect of the exam. At least, one win got credited to my account. we had the entire morning to ourselves. We partied for parting as we do not know which friend would we be with us in our next grade and which section would be allotted to us!!

We began with the most important element of the party - the snacks!! We all had brought the junk snacks so that we could enjoy. We had tomato cheese pasta, farsi puri, bhel, chevda, pop corn, wafers, chips, chutney sandwich, cheese sandwich, bread and butter etc. The drinks included minute maid pulpy orange, maaza, sprite, mineral water etc. Some children brought for the entire class while some of them brought only for few friends and distributed only to select few. Next, the teacher put on the music. We danced on tunes of balle balle, desi girl, lets go party tonight, disco, mauja hi mauja, rock n roll, mitwa etc. We had a blast.

The teacher gave an emotional speech. "Children, this is the last day for all of us to be in this class. You all have done very well this year. Please continue to do the same in coming years also. All of you need to however improve your hand writing and work on the speed as you would be required to write fast and catch up with the teacher from now onwards. You also need to make your notes from the lectures. You need to become independent now!!"

The class listened to her carefully. She is the only one we all listen to carefully without making noise. At home mom's do tell us things, but it is the teachers words that gets cemented within us at one go!! We thanked our teacher for being with us and for taking care of us and for bearing with us when we were at our worst. Mood swings affects us as well, doesn't it! Thank you Sabina mam.

Hasina mam, I will miss you too. Although last year, I was with you but could not express my gratitude to you as much. This year since you encouraged us to write some synopsis, or short stories or poems. I thought to start my blog so that I could really practise forming my own thoughts and continue with the dream which you have envisaged for us. And my mom has promised to help me till I can manage on my own. Thank you, once again for the inspiration.

Thank you to all my teachers and friends. Best wishes to all.

Meer and Oupee

There were 20 students in the class. They were studying English subject. Comprehension was their favourite subject. It was a a story about James' broken arm. The story was quite exciting and the children were enjoying it thoroughly. Some of them were however thinking about the break time as there was a mention of snacks in the story. The attention waved from story to snacks!!

When the English teacher went, Meer had not finished his work. He was writing the second sentence out of the five lines written on the interactive board. Then, the class teacher came inside to take the humanities lecture. She told him that when you go the next grade, you need to increase your speed and legibility in your handwriting. He closed his English book and took out the humanities workbook.

The teacher asked the students to keep their humanities workbook in their bags and follow her to the computer lab in a disciplined Que. Every child took his seat in the lab in groups of two. They searched for google and searched for layers of atmosphere. One group however could not find it. The teacher asked them the reason. They replied that my partner went on the games website - miniclip. The teacher took Oupee aside and asked for the reason. He said, at home, he uses the Internet only to play games and not for browsing through the educational websites. And he thought the same here too!!
